Another feature of the 2.4L four-cylinder is that with the 160 horsepower at 5,500 rpm, the 157 lb-ft of torque at 4,000 rpm is paired with a Sportronic automatic transmission. This is the ultimate specification in allowing the driver to determine the amount of power behind the wheel. The Mitsubishi Sportronic design allows an automatic transmission to have manual capabilities. Since there is no clutch, the driver uses the gear paddle to shift manually.
